    Robotics Team

Eltingville Lutheran School Robotics is an engineering program designed specifically for children in grades 5-8. Students design, build, and program robots to perform various tasks. Robotics programs build science, engineering, and technology skills in a setting that fosters self-confidence, communication, and leadership. Many high schools have recently begun robotics programs where students can build upon the skills they have acquired at ELS.

Eltingville Lutheran has a team that competes against other robotics teams in the metropolitan area. In January 2016, the ELS Eagles earned 3rd place in Core Values at the Staten Island elementary school competition at IS 51, which qualified the team to compete at the Javits Center in NYC. At the Jacob Javits competition, last year, the team won 1st place for Core Values.
